Activity Journal Uploads are Here!
Version 10.0 of the Homeschool Hall Activity Journal introduces Image and FIle upload! We’re very exited to release this highly-requested feature, so now parents can record their homeschool activities with image records, as well as upload assignments and worksheets.
In this blog post we’ll show you how to upload files and images into your Activity Journal, and different areas of the platform that have changed with this addition.
New “Files” Tab in Entry Popup
When creating a new Entry in the Activity Journal, you’ll notice a new tab entitled “Files,” which you can click to open the new files area of the popup window. This will also show the total uploads you have for this Entry.
Uploading Files and Images
Using the “Add Image(s) and “Add File(s)” buttons, you can upload up to 5 files and 5 images at a time. Note that this isn’t a limit of 10 total uploads per Journal Entry. It’s just a limit of 5 uploads each time you click the upload button.
Uploads will be saved to the Entry in your Activity Journal, and you can add more or remove files/images whenever you need to later. This section will show both for brand new Entries and existing Entries that you’re editing.
Auto-Save Feature
When editing existing Entries, uploaded files/images will be automatically saved to the Journal Entry, even if you don’t click the “Save & Close” button. For new Entries, files/images will be saved once you save the Entry, so if you upload files/images and close the popup, uploaded files will be cleared and won’t count towards your file storage.
List-View File Count
In List-View, you’ll also notice a count of uploads for each Journal Entry. Clicking the file count for each Entry will pull up the Entry and automatically show the Files tab.
Account Storage LimitsÂ
We’re including 1,000 file/image uploads as part of your normal Activity Journal subscription. This includes any uploads for all users across a single Family Account, so uploads by students and any others in your account will count towards this total.
Once you have your storage limit, you can purchase additional blocks of 1,000 files for $1/month each. Our desire here is to make it as affordable as possible to store all the files/images you’ll need over the years.
